Body
WHEREAS, the Lee's Summit R-7 "Kids Country" before and after school program was named an Outstanding School Age Program by the Missouri School Age Child Care Coalition (MOSAC), during the annual conference held recently in Kansas City; and,

WHEREAS, Lee's Summit R-7 Kids Country was selected not only as an outstanding program in the state, but for the second year received honors as a MOSAC Showcase of Quality program; and,

WHEREAS, honored Showcase of Quality programs are among the top five in the State of Missouri; and,

WHEREAS, Kids Country assistance director Kristi Fate organized keynote speakers for the annual conference; and,

WHEREAS, Jon Ellis, owner of Putter's Paradise in Lee's Summit and a partner with Kids Country, received the MOSAC Community Partnership Award for providing T-shirts for each Kids Country participant; and,

WHEREAS, Greenwood Elementary School Kids Country coordinator Jeannette Smith received the Outstanding Professional Award from MOSAC; and,

WHEREAS, additional Kids Country staff who presented during the conference were Ryan Kelly, Richardson Elementary Kids Country site coordinator, Judy Somerhiser, Hazel Grove Kids Country site coordinator, Dr. Mary Alice Neal, assistant superintendent of elementary instruction, Nina Noe, Kids Country director, and Dr. Dan Lumley, R-7 coordinator of professional development; and,

WHEREAS, Lee's Summit R-7 Kids Country programs currently serve 921 students, employ 115 staff, and provide before and after care for 15 elementary schools with 6 kindergarten pilot programs; now therefore,
