IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION congratulating Lee's Summit High School on its recognition by The United States Depar ment of Education as a "Drug-Free School." Intro RESOLUTION #10882, June 19, 1995 INTRODUCED BY John C. Graham and Fred Arbanas, County Legislators Body WHEREAS, Lee's Summit High School was one of 98 schools nationwide to have been recognized by The nited States Department of Education as a "Drug-Free School"; and, WHEREAS, this program acknowledges both the anti-drug and anti- violence efforts of schools; and, WHEREAS, only five Missouri schools were chosen to receive this prestigious award; and, WHEREAS, attending a national press conference in Washington, D. C., and accepting the award on be alf of the school, were Cheryl Bramlette, Lee's Summit High School activities director, Sheryl Fen er, R-7 wellness coordinator, and Jim Lemery, Lee's Summit High School Division II principal; now herefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congrat lates Lee's Summit High School on its recognition by The United States Department of Education as "Drug-Free School" and for the school's anti-drug and anti-violence efforts. Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of he Legislature.
