Body
WHEREAS, Future Leaders Outreach Network facilitates basic leadership and substance abuse workshops and assemblies in schools throughout the metro-plex that focus on crime prevention and youth development; and,
WHEREAS, the youth development program is supported by a grant from American Family Insurance, in the amount of $15,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, this grant is subject to a $15,000 local match; and,
WHEREAS, Future Leaders Outreach Network has requested anti-drug sales tax funds in the amount of $15,000.00 to serve as the required local match; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has reviewed this proposal and recommends the expenditure of these funds; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to enter into the attached Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments including final payment on the Agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
