Body
WHEREAS, Guadalupe Center, Inc.'s "Westside AmeriCorp Education Team" program is designed to provide educational enrichment to improve students' chances of graduation, in the Latino community; and,
WHEREAS, Guadalupe Center, Inc., has received a grant from the Missouri Community Service Commission in the amount of $76,637.00, for this program; and,
WHEREAS, Guadalupe Center, Inc., has requested anti-drug sales tax matching funds in the amount of $52,827.00 for this program; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has reviewed this request and recommends funding in the amount of $52,827.00 from her grant match account; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute an Agreement with the Guadalupe Center, Inc.; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is hereby authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
