A RESOLUTION congratulating Chad Hertzog, a Lee's Summit High School junior, for his victory in the heavyweight division at the 1997 Missouri State Class 4A Wrestling Championship.

Body
WHEREAS, Chad Hertzog, a Lee's Summit High School junior, has a long list of successes in his three-year career as a wrestler for the Tigers; and,
WHEREAS, Chad is a three-time conference champ, as well as a two- time district and sectional winner; and,
WHEREAS, in 1996 Chad placed fifth in the state competition; and,
WHEREAS, Chad has now surpassed all previous accomplishments by his win in the heavyweight division at the 1997 Missouri State Class 4A Wrestling Championship; and,
WHEREAS, guiding Chad to this prestigious win were Head Coach Ethan Hauck and Assistant Coaches Don Graham (son of County Legislator John Graham), John Repp, Bryan Elam, and Wes Knox; and,
WHEREAS, Chad is the grandson of former County Legislator Dr. Robert Hertzog; and,
WHEREAS, Chad is also a member of the Missouri Junior National Freestyle team; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislator of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Chad Hertzog on his outstanding win as Missouri's Class 4A State Wrestling Heavyweight Champion for 1997, and for his exceptional three-year record as a wrestler for the Lee's Summit High School Tigers.
