Body
WHEREAS, the County did, by Resolution 11539, dated December 9, 1996, enter into a contract with The G-S Company, in the actual amount of $416,994.00, and authorized additional expenditures approved by the County Executive at a cost not to exceed $21,000.00, for a total amount not to exceed $437,994.00, for the construction of hollow metal doors and frames, finish and detention hardware for the expansion at the Jackson County Detention Center; and,

WHEREAS, the County Executive has approved Change Orders 1 and 2 for a total of $10,490.00, adjusting the contract amount to the current authorization of $427,484.00; and,

WHEREAS, the proposed Change Order No. 3, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is necessary due to miscellaneous contract changes and additions, and said change order will result in an increase not to exceed $17,637.00; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that Change Order No. 3 to the aforesaid contract is approved and the County Executive is authorized to execute the change order on behalf of the County; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, except final payment on the contract.
