Body
WHEREAS, the City of Independence, Missouri, has requested a utility easement over a portion of county-owned property known as the McCune Home located at 21001 E. US 24 Hwy, as is more fully described in the attached Easement Agreement, to facilitate the replacement and upgrade of existing poles and lines that provide electricity to the McCune Home and continues running south across the property; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has determined that the utility easement will have no adverse effect on the McCune Home property and recognizes the necessity of the replacement and upgrade of the existing poles and lines; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Family Court Services recommends the execution of the General Utility Easement Agreement, now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the attached General Utility Easement Agreement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the Agreement on behalf of the County.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
