Body
WHEREAS, the Lee's Summit West High School football team won the Class 5 Missouri State Championship, beating Parkway Central, a suburban St. Louis school, 51 to 14 in the Show-Me Bowl held November 30, 2013, at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, MO; and,
WHEREAS, the Titans were led in victory by Head Coach Royce Boehm, who states the team members describe themselves as the "Lee's Summit West Football Family" that goes by the motto, "It's Not About Me" or "#INAM;" and,
WHEREAS, this is the third state title for the Titans, having won previous Missouri State Championships against Parkway Central in 2007 and Webster Groves in 2010; and,
WHEREAS, the Titans have 140 team members led by 22 coaches and completed their 2013 season with a 13 and 1 record; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates the Lee's Summit West High School football team on its prestigious showing and extends sincere best wishes for continued success of the team and its members in all future endeavors.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
