Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 2913, dated April 12, 1999, the County Legislature authorized the County Executive to execute a Memorandum of Understanding with the Board of Police Commissioners of Kansas City, MO, for the Midwest H.I.D.T.A. Kansas City Metropolitan Enforcement Initiative Task Force, whereunder the Board reimburses the County for 100% of the salary of an assistant prosecuting attorney; and,
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 3008, dated March 13, 2000, Resolution 13275, dated July 10, 2000, Ordinance 3083, dated October 16, 2000, Ordinance 3120, dated January 22, 2001, and Ordinance 3205, dated October 29, 2001, the Legislature did authorize First, Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth Addenda to this Memorandum modifying and extending the Memorandum; and,
WHEREAS, the parties now desire to extend the agreement, as amended for an additional one-year period; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Sixth Addendum to Memorandum of Understanding provides a suitable mechanism by which to implement the understanding of the parties; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to enter into the Sixth Addendum, a copy of which is attached and incorporated herein by reference, to the Memorandum of Understanding with the Board of Police Commissioners regarding the Kansas City Metropolitan Enforcement Initiative Task Force.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
