A RESOLUTION rescinding Resolution 14443, dated February 3, 2003, and authorizing the County Executive to execute an agreement with Boys and Girls Club of Eastern Jackson County, to assist in the partial funding of its Teen Center, at a cost to the County not to exceed $25,000.00.

Body
WHEREAS, the County and Boys and Girls Club of Eastern Jackson County desire to enter into an agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, whereunder the County will contract with the Club for its services in the amount of $25,000.00 to assist in the partial funding of its Teen Center; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the agreement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the agreement on behalf of the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreement; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution 14443, dated February 3, 2003, which previously authorized a contract with this agency subject to the appropriation of funds, be and hereby is rescinded because the 2003 County budget did not contain a sufficient appropriation to meet the obligation authorized by that Resolution.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
