WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited written bids for the furnishing of a fuel tank truck and fuel tank with accessories for use by the Public Works Department; and,

WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest three bids, bids from the following:

Blue Springs, MO

Kansas City Peterbilt, Inc. $84,977
Kansas City, Kansas;

and,

WHEREAS, he has recommended the contract be awarded to KCR International Truck for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; and,

WHEREAS, the acquisition of this fuel tank truck and fuel tank with accessories will render one 1988 Chevrolet 4«-ton fuel truck, described on the attached request for legislative action, as surplus property; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to 1134., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Purchasing Director has requested that he be authorized to dispose of this truck by way of trade-in; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
