A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute an easement in favor of the City of Independence and Votum Enterprises, L.L.C., permitting the installation of a permanent storm drainage easement through a portion of the Little Blue Trace Park.

Body
WHEREAS, the City of Independence has requested a permanent storm drainage easement across a portion of the Little Blue Trace Park; and,
 
WHEREAS, the easement requested, which is described in the attached Easement Agreement, is necessary for the construction of a 18" storm water transmission main for the City's storm water transmission system; and,
 
WHEREAS, the granting of this easement is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
 
BE IT RESOLVED  by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Easement Agreement in favor of Votum Enterprises, L.L.C., and the City of Independence, Missouri.
 
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
