Body
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney's Family Support Division has recommended a Cooperative Agreement ("Agreement") with the Women's Employment Network to provide training and workshops designed to help women involved in the Jackson County Drug Court program to achieve economic independence through sustained employment, at a cost to the County not to exceed $6,600.00; and,
WHEREAS, these sessions will focus on interview strategies, computer training, business etiquette and money and time management; and,
WHEREAS, a copy of the proposed Agreement is attached hereto and the term for this Agreement is October 1, 2005 to December 31, 2005; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an Agreement with the Women's Employment Network; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on this Agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
