Body
WHEREAS, the City of Independence has a need for a temporary easement in conjunction with grading operations for the Little Blue Parkway Road extension; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed easement area is for a triangular parcel of land within the Little Blue Park adjacent to the 39th Street Right-of-Way; and,
WHEREAS, this easement will have no detrimental effect on the usability of the park; and,
WHEREAS, City of Independence has agreed to pay easement processing fees in an amount totaling $1,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the granting of this easement is recommended by the Director of Parks and Recreation as being in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the aforementioned easement, further described in the attached "Exhibit A", and other associated documents in favor of the City of Independence, MO.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
