Body
WHEREAS, the Sheriff Department has surplus personal property, to wit a Dynavision Model 910 x-ray scanner, serial number 9102000702, that has become unusable; and,

WHEREAS, by means of a trade-in, the Purchasing Director has declared this property surplus; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing, pursuant to Section 1040.04 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, recommends the award of a contract for the purchase of one Dynavision Model 6040 x-ray scanner for use by the Sheriff's department to Control Screening of Hawthorn Wood, IL, at a cost not to exceed $21,409.00, under an existing government contract of the State of Texas; and,

WHEREAS, Section 1064.00, Jackson County Code, 1984, requires that, for any such award in excess of $5,000, the Director of Purchasing shall submit the award to the County Legislature for approval; and,
WHEREAS, transfers are necessary in order to fund this expenditure; and,

WHEREAS, the County Executive has recommended said transfers; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfers be and hereby are made:
