A RESOLUTION awarding a term and supply contract on Bid No. 113-00 for the furnishing of asphaltic concrete for use by the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments to APAC-Missouri, Inc., of Sugar Creek, MO ($32,000.00), and Vance Brothers, Inc., of Kansas City, MO ($33,000.00) to provide for their needs for the upcoming one-year period, in the estimated aggregate amount of $65,000.00.

Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 113-00 for the furnishing of asphaltic concrete for use by the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends the contract be divided and awarded to the two vendors submitting the lowest bids, so as to best ensure the constant availability of the materials at all times and in all areas of the County; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in estimated awards to the following vendors:
VENDOR ESTIMATED AWARD
APAC-Missouri, Inc. $32,000.00
Sugar Creek, MO
Vance Brothers $33,000.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.
