Body
WHEREAS, Kansas City Power & Light Company of Kansas City, MO, has requested a permanent easement to relocate an existing easement for an electrical transmission line within the boundaries of the Blue River Parkway near Bannister Road; and,

WHEREAS, the old alignment contains a pole which could be adversely affected by future erosion of the river bank; and,

WHEREAS, Kansas City Power & Light Company recommends realigning the easement to 100 feet in width by 282 feet in length to avoid potential issues with river bank erosion; and,

WHEREAS, the proposed permanent easement is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,


BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the attached Easement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the Easement on behalf of the County.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
