Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 92-96 for a term and supply contract for the furnishing of aggregate materials (sand) for use county- wide to provide for their needs for the upcoming one-year period; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest two bids thereon bids from the following:
VENDOR BID
Holiday Sand and Gravel Base
Overland Park, KS
Builders Sand Co. Inc. 55% higher
DeSota, KS
and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Holiday Sand and Gravel of Overland Park, KS, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
