Body
WHEREAS, Geneva (Leone) Mingrone, a dedicated servant of her community, passed away on August 16, 2007, at age 101, with her loving family by her side; and,

WHEREAS, Geneva earned recognition as a productive, hard-working citizen, who was employed for over 65 years, first at Air Craft Accessories, then at the state license bureau, and finally at the magistrate court under the supervision of Judge Louis Mazuch; and,

WHEREAS, Geneva was born June 11, 1906, to Anna and Joseph Leone, and lived in Kansas City, Missouri, all her life; and,

WHEREAS , Geneva and her husband, Frank, raised their three daughters and her brother, Tony and sister-in-law Mary's, four daughters, all of who she proudly referred to as her seven girls; and,

WHEREAS, Geneva dedicated over 36 years to volunteer work at the Don Bosco Senior Center where she made beautiful craft items to raise money for the center; and,

WHEREAS, Geneva received the Kansas City Council Founder's Day Award in May 1975 for outstanding achievements in contributing to elderly citizens, and in 1978, she earned the Bishop's Award for contributions to life and work of the church in the Diocese of Kansas City St. Joseph; and,

WHEREAS, Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Mingrone, and her daughter, Ann, and son-in-law, Louis Rizzuti, and was survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Grace and George Sanders, Carrie and Ralph Storms, Mary and Jerry Kimberlin, Grace and Gene Molinaro, Clarene and Charles Haas, and Jeanne and Carl DiMartino, Jr., and her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, ...
