Body
WHEREAS, Jackson County and the City of Lee's Summit desire to enter into a Cooperative Agreement for the widening of Colbert Road to four lanes from Todd George Road to 3/4 mile east of Blackwell Road; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Cooperative Agreement provides a satisfactory mechanism by which to accomplish this purpose; and,
WHEREAS, this Agreement is in the best interest of the health welfare, and safety of the citizens of the County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Cooperative Agreement with the City of Lee's Summit; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be authorized to set up an account to which an annual appropriation can be made to allow funds to accumulate for the anticipated construction date in 2003.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
