IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI

Title.
A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute addenda to agreements with certain organizations which engage in community crime prevention activities for the purpose of preventing illegal drug use and drug-related offenses, at a total cost to the County not to exceed $264,595.00.

Body
WHEREAS, the County did issue Request For Proposals 100-94, on June 16, 1994, inviting qualified organizations to submit proposals for the providing of prevention services, the specifications in said RFP being in accordance with the Special Advisory Panel recommendations relating to prevention funding of December 27, 1993; and,

WHEREAS, the County previously agreed to assist these organizations in the provision of services and recommended the expenditure of anti-drug sales tax funds for these organizations, by Resolutions 10485, 10716, 10718, 10719, 10739, 10784, 11003, 11024, and 11119, in the respective amounts referenced in those resolutions, to assist in the prevention of drug and drug-related offenses; and,

WHEREAS, the parties have subsequently determined that these organizations can provide County drug prevention services for an additional three-month period at the consideration set forth in Attachment A attached hereto and incorporated hereby by reference, until such time as the COMBAT Commission established under Ordinance 2448 approved by the voters on November 7, 1995, can be organized and meet for the purposes of making annual funding recommendations; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be, and hereby is, authorized to execute addenda to agreements with the organizations and in the amounts set forth in Attachment A, for the purpose of preventing drug and drug-related...
