RESOLUTION NO. 22318, June 22, 2026

Body
WHEREAS, Adam Salmon is retiring from his position as Oak Grove High School Principal; and,

WHEREAS, after 30 incredible years in education, including 26 years of dedicated service to Oak Grove, we celebrate Mr. Salmon, who has now retired at the conclusion of the 2025-2026 school year; and,

WHEREAS, he received his High School Diploma from Albany High School and his Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia; and,

WHEREAS, later, he earned his Master of Science in Secondary Administration from William Woods University; and,

WHEREAS, to round out his impressive academic career, he earned his Specialist of Education in Secondary Administration from William Woods University; and,

WHEREAS, Mr. Salmon joined the Oak Grove faculty in August 2000 as a High School English Teacher and Assistant Wrestling Coach, quickly earning respect as an inspiring educator and mentor; and,

WHEREAS, in 2004, he transitioned to Assistant Principal, guiding students through academics, leadership, and the A+ Program; and,

WHEREAS, by 2012, he took the helm as High School Principal, a role he has faithfully served for 13 years, always championing his students, staff, and community; and,

WHEREAS, he was recognized as GKC Missouri Principals Association Principal of the Year in 2022-23; and,

WHEREAS, he has been married to his wife, Melanie, since 2002, and together they have four children, Mollea, Grady, Kinley, and Hadley; and,

WHEREAS, as he completes his twenty-sixth and final year at Oak Grove High School, we honor a career defined by service, leadership, and Panther Pride; now therefore,
