Body
WHEREAS, in connection with the upcoming Santa-Cali-Gon Days Festival to be held in Independence over Labor Day weekend, August 29-September 2, 1997, St. Mary's Bundschu Memorial High School has proposed that it be allowed to utilize the parking lot adjacent to the county's building located at 200 S. Main Street in Independence; and,
WHEREAS, the High School proposes to lease parking spaces in the lot to festival-goers as a fundraising activity; and,
WHEREAS, under the proposed lease, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, the High School will agree to defend and indemnify the County concerning its use of the parking lot; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Lease Agreement with St. Mary's Bundschu Memorial High School.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
