Body
WHEREAS, Halle Wild, Nicole Bricker, Alyssa Reynolds and Hannah Burnett recently represented the state of Missouri in Louisville, Kentucky, at the National 4-H Horse Bowl Competition, winning first place; and,
WHEREAS, Horse Bowl is a knowledge based game in which two teams, with four members each, are in a head to head competition, during which a moderator reads a horse related question and the individual that buzzes in first attempts to answer the question correctly; and,
WHEREAS, the Missouri team competed against twenty-one other teams from across the nation in a double elimination tournament; and,
WHEREAS, the Missouri team defeated the New York team 18 to 0 and 23 to 2 to claim the championship; and,
WHEREAS, additionally, Nicole Bricker placed third and Halle Wild placed sixth in individual points scored; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Halle Wild, Nicole Bricker, Alyssa Reynolds and Hannah Burnett on winning first place at the National 4-H Horse Bowl Competition.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
