Body
WHEREAS, Peggy Scott, Judicial Clerk of Division 32 of the Associate Circuit Court, is retiring after 28 years of valuable service to the Jackson County court system; and,
WHEREAS, on August 1, 1974, she began her career in the 8th District Magistrate Court of Blue Springs, Missouri, under Judge James Horn; and,
WHEREAS, from 1987 to the present she has served under Judge Robert Trout in Division 32 of the Associate Circuit Court; and,
WHEREAS, she was named Circuit Court "Employee of the Month" on several occasions, and received numerous awards for perfect attendance; and,
WHEREAS, Judge Trout said, "Peggy is always the first in court, arriving at 6:30 a.m. on many mornings," and refers to her as his "Chief Clerk of the 16th Circuit Court;" and,
WHEREAS, Peggy originally resided in south Kansas City, Missouri, when she began her career and has now lived in Lee's Summit for several years; and,
WHEREAS, Peggy and her husband Danny have two daughters, Jodi and Leeza; and,
WHEREAS, Peggy's interest include collecting antiques and visiting Las Vegas, as well as the "boats" here in the area; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Peggy Scott on her 28 years with Jackson County's 16th Judicial Circuit Court, and wishes her well on her retirement and in all future endeavors.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
