Body
WHEREAS, the retirement of Jeanne Morgan, after over thirty-three years working for the 16th Judicial Circuit Court of Jackson County, MO, will be celebrated on October 6, 2008; and,

WHEREAS, Jeanne started her work as a file clerk in Civil Records in February of 1975; and,

WHEREAS, following her work in Civil Records, she worked as a judicial administrative assistant (JAA) for the Honorable Judge Paul Vardeman, Division 3, from January 1980 through April 1982; and,

WHEREAS, Jeanne spent eleven years working in Division 3, through November 1991, working as the JAA to the Honorable Richard McKelvey and to the Honorable Thomas Clark; and,


WHEREAS, since that time, Jeanne has worked as the JAA to the Honorable Jay Daugherty, Division 13; and,

WHEREAS, Jeanne began Jeanne's Cheesecakes in 1990, making delicious cheesecakes for various restaurants in the Kansas City area and catering for weddings, retirements, and private parties; and,

WHEREAS, Jeanne's husband, Steve, and her daughter Alexandria share in celebrating her retirement; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby recognizes and congratulates Jeanne Morgan for her outstanding dedication and service to the 16th Judicial Circuit Court of Jackson County, MO, throughout the years and extends best wishes for her future endeavors upon her retirement.


Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
