Body
WHEREAS, Edgar J. Palacios, President of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs since January, has served with a "can do" attitude and has been instrumental in bringing quality professional development opportunities to Kansas City; and,
WHEREAS, the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) was created in 1988 as a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the number of Hispanics graduating from master's business degree programs through scholarship, professional development, and mentorship; and,
WHEREAS, NSHMBA works to enhance the career management opportunities for Hispanic MBAs by providing support and guidance through school programs, leadership positions, assistance with job placement opportunities, and high level professional development programs; and,
WHEREAS, as President of NSHMBA, Edgar brought his passion for building relationships and connecting people to the resources they need to create an influential and successful organization; and,
WHEREAS, Edgar works as the Manager of Member Experience at Central Exchange, a professional development organization for women; and,
WHEREAS, Edgar holds a bachelor of music degree from the University of Missouri - Kansas City, and a master's in business administration from Rockhurst University; and,
WHEREAS, Edgar has served as Social Committee Chair and President of the Young Latino Professionals of Greater Kansas City, currently serves as Marketing Chair for newEar Contemporary Chamber Ensemble, and was named a Man of the Year candidate for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society; and,
