Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 16779, dated December 8, 2008, the County did award a contract to the City of Kansas City to provide animal control services for unincorporated Jackson County; and,

WHEREAS, the completion of the new animal shelter and animal control contract with the City of Independence has been delayed beyond the end of year, requiring an extension of the agreement with the City of Kansas City to continue to provide animal control services through the balance of 2010; and,

WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary in order to place the required funds in the proper spending account; now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be and hereby is made:
