Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 179-98 for the furnishing of clean rip-rap rock for use by the Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, no bids were received in response to this invitation to bid; and,
WHEREAS, Martin Marietta Aggregates of Greenwood, MO, the current supplier of rip-rock, has agreed to a six-month extension on its contract to continue providing this service; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Martin Marietta Aggregates of Greenwood, MO; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
