Body
WHEREAS, the term of Gerry Winship, a member of the Jackson County Sports Complex Authority, expired on July 15, 2001; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to ยง64.930, RSMo 2000, and case law construing said section, in the event a vacancy exists, a panel of three nominees shall be submitted by majority vote of the County Legislature to the governor for appointment; and,

WHEREAS, by Resolution 13742, dated June 25, 2001, the Legislature submitted a panel of three nominees to the governor, for the purpose of filling this vacancy; and,

WHEREAS, in view of the passage of time since the adoption of Resolution 13742, the governor has now requested that the Legislature submit a new panel of nominees for this vacancy; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following nominees shall be submitted to the governor for his consideration for final appointment to fill the vacancy on the Jackson County Sports Complex Authority occasioned by the expiration of the term of Gerry Winship, for a new term to expire July 15, 2006:

A. Richard Berkley
B. Mark Thompson
C. Warren Erdman
and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Legislature be and hereby is directed to submit this panel to the governor by providing him a true and correct copy hereof; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution 13742, dated June 25, 2001, be and hereby is rescinded.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
