Body
WHEREAS, the Blue Springs High School football team won the Class 6 Missouri State Championship, beating Columbia Rock Bridge 35 to 14 in the Show-Me Bowl held November 29, 2013, at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, MO; and,
WHEREAS, the Wildcats were led in victory during its undefeated season by Head Coach Kelly Donohoe; and,
WHEREAS, this is the fifth state title for the Wildcats and the team's first back-to-back state championship wins, having also won the title in 2012; and,
WHEREAS, the Wildcats also won state football titles in 1992, 2001, and 2003; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates the Blue Springs High School football team on its outstanding showing and extends sincere best wishes for continued success of the team and its members and coaches in all future endeavors.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
