A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute a Memorandum of Understanding, on behalf of the Jackson County Multi-Jurisdictional Task Force, with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR), as a part of the matching funds previously authorized by Ordinance 3544, dated September 13, 2004.

Body
WHEREAS, the County and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, desire to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, whereunder MDNR will provide 25% of the matching funds ($4,801.00) and the County will provide 75% of the matching funds ($14,404.00) for the Byrne Formula Grant Program, as a part of the Multi-Jurisdictional Task Force Grant monies previously authorized by Ordinance #3544, dated September 13, 2004, to provide law enforcement a safe and legal place to store clandestine drug lab chemicals; and,

WHEREAS, the attached Memorandum of Understanding provides a suitable mechanism by which to implement the mutual goal of the parties; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be, and is hereby, authorized to execute the Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of the County.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
