Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Electronic Solicitation No. BB200295 for the furnishing of one top dresser and four mowers for use by the Parks and Recreation Department; and,

WHEREAS, the only responsive bid received was from US Turf/Outdoor Equipment Company of Grandview, MO; and,

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to US Turf/Outdoor Equipment Company of Grandview, MO for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid meeting specifications for each item; and,

WHEREAS, acquisition of this equipment has rendered certain existing equipment, to wit: one (1) 1986 Toro 300 greens mower, one (1) 1995 John Deere 2654A bank/tee mover, one (1) 1998 Toro bank mower, and one (1) 1995 John Deer 3235 fairway mower, more specifically described in the attached documentation, as obsolete and unusable; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has declared this equipment surplus to the county's needs and requested permission to dispose of it by way of trade-in; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
