WHEREAS, County Executive-elect Mike Sanders has recommended that the Mid-America Regional Council be retained to provide support staff for his transition team and to conduct personnel search activities, at a cost to the County not to exceed $6,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, in order to make the required funds available, a transfer is necessary; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends such transfer; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2006 General Fund be and hereby is made:

and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute a Cooperative Agreement with the Mid-America Regional Council, at a cost to the County not to exceed $6,000.00, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreements.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
