Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fiscal Commission was empowered by Ordinance #1771, #1795 and #1941 to make recommendations to the Legislature for the expenditure of Anti-Drug Sales Tax Funds for the purposes of treatment and rehabilitation of drug offenders; and,
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has reviewed a proposal from Truman Medical Center - East to provide outpatient substance abuse counseling; and,
WHEREAS, Truman Medical Center - East has received funding in prior years for this program upon the recommendation of the Fiscal Commission; and,
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has carefully reviewed this 1995 proposal from Truman Medical Center - East; and,
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Commission has recommended funding in the amount of $175,000 from the Anti-Drug Sales Tax for Truman Medical Center - East's proposal; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Chair of the Fiscal Commission is hereby authorized to enter into the attached agreement, a copy of which is incorporated herein by reference, with Truman Medical Center - East.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
