Body
WHEREAS, the YMCA of Greater Kansas City's "Experience Corps" program is a mentoring program providing; and,
WHEREAS, the YMCA of Greater Kansas City has received a federal subgrant from the Corporation for National and Community Services/Civic Ventures in the amount of $164,920.00 for this program; and,
WHEREAS, this grant is subject to a requirement of local matching funds; and,
WHEREAS, the YMCA of Greater Kansas City has requested anti-drug sales tax matching funds in the amount of $33,000.00, as a local match; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has reviewed this request and recommends matching funding in the amount of $33,000.00 from his grant match account; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the attached Agreement with the YMCA of Greater Kansas City; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is hereby authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
