WHEREAS, the County did enter into a Professional Services Agreement dated August 16, 2006, with Pars Consulting Engineers, Inc., of Overland Park, KS, for construction inspection services for use by the Public Works Department on the 85th Street and Troost Bridge Improvements Project, No. 2407, in an amount not to exceed $547,371.00; and,
WHEREAS, a First Addendum is necessary to cover material sampling and testing not provided for in the Professional Services Agreement, and said addendum will result in an increase to the contract in an amount not to exceed $68,000.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute a First Addendum to the Professional Services Agreement with Pars Consulting Engineers, Inc., of Overland Park, KS, for the 85th Street and Troost Bridge Improvements Project, No. 2407, at an additional cost to the County not to exceed $68,000, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment, on the original agreement and all addenda thereto.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
