WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department has a continuing need for the furnishing of live bait; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 55-04 for the furnishing of live bait for use by Parks and Recreation Department; and,
WHEREAS, a total of fourteen (14) Invitations to Bid were distributed and three (3) responses were received as follows:

and,
WHEREAS, based on Keller Bait Farm's history of past performance and poor quality of products and the non-responsive bid by Halphin Enterprises, the Director of Purchasing has recommended J & J Enterprises as the best bid; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Purchasing recommends the award of a twelve (12) month term and supply contract to J & J Enterprises of Butler, MO, as the best bidder; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made to J & J Enterprises of Butler, MO, and that the Purchasing Director be, and hereby is, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
