Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 16286, dated May 7, 2007, the Legislature did authorize the County Executive to execute a Cooperative Agreement with the City of Kansas City, Missouri, in connection with County Urban Road System (CURS) road and bridge projects; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works now recommends the execution of a STP-URBAN CURS Agreement with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission and the City of Kansas City, Missouri, which will enable the County to act as the agent of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, and authorize the collection of the federal reimbursement in an amount not to exceed $2,000,000.00 in connection with improvements to Longview Road from Hickman Mills to Orchard Drive; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the STP-URBAN CURS Agreement with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission and the City of Kansas City, Missouri, a copy of which is attached hereto, in connection with improvements to Longview Road from Hickman Mills to Orchard Drive, at no cost to the County.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
