Body
WHEREAS, the Legislature has determined that it is in the County's best interest to retain experienced public liaisons to advocate the Legislature's positions on various matters during the 1997 regular session of the Missouri General Assembly, to work with the Legislature in conjunction with the Jackson County Sports Complex Authority, particularly regarding proper funding of the sports complex leases, and to perform such other duties as may be directed by the Legislature's Intergovernmental Affairs Committee; and,
WHEREAS, William F. Waris, Alvin Nash, and W. T. Dawson are experienced and fully capable of performing said duties; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Agreements set out the rights and obligations of the parties; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Chairman of the Legislature be and is authorized to execute the attached Agreements with William F. Waris, Alvin Nash, and W. T. Dawson; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreements...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
