Body
WHEREAS, Truman Medical Center, Inc. (TMC) leases and operates the healthcare facility owned by Jackson County, Missouri, located at 2301 Holmes, Kansas City, Missouri (Hospital Hill facility) and 7900 Lee's Summit Road, Kansas City, Missouri (TMC Lakewood facility); and,
WHEREAS, TMC management has identified an opportunity to increase the quality of patient care through the purchase and installation of certain HVAC, information technology, and medical equipment, which purchase will be financed by Banc of America Public Capital Corp.; and,
WHEREAS, TMC has requested the County's authorization to execute Owner's Waiver and Consent forms to release any possible County interest in the equipment to be purchased and acknowledge the lender's security interest in the equipment; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature, on behalf of the County, does hereby approve the Owner's Waiver and Consent forms requested for the financing arrangement between Truman Medical Center, Inc., and Banc of America Public Capital Corp, and does hereby authorize the County Executive to execute any documents necessary to effectuate the arrangement, at no cost to the County.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
