Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4430, dated July 23, 2012, the Legislature did authorize the acceptance of the 2012 Recovery Act - Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) from the U.S. Department of Justice in the amount of $55,623.00, for use by the Jackson County Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, for the period of July 1, 2012, through June 30, 2013; and,
WHEREAS, the grant proceeds are used to partially fund the cost of the lease of four vehicles for undercover operations; and,
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Justice has released additional funds for this grant, in the amount of $4,550.00; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the grant funds in the proper spending account; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the 2012 Grant Fund be and hereby is made:
