Body
WHEREAS, Alyse Stoll, a life-long Raytown resident and volunteer, was recently named Missouri's Woman of Distinction by the 1,500 members of the American Association of University Women of Missouri (AAUW); and,

WHEREAS, this was the third time Alyse has been nominated from the Raytown Branch, but her first state award; and,

WHEREAS, the award was given to Alyse based on her education, honors, service to AAUW, service to her profession, service to her community and society, and service to other women; and,

WHEREAS, her additional honors and accomplishments include: Ottawa University Graduate (BA in Music); Missouri Municipal League honoree for leadership on behalf of City and State (1999); Truman Heartland Foundation's Outstanding Raytown Citizen Award (2001); and, most recently, 2002 Honoree as Outstanding Seven-Year Youth Friend Volunteer; and,
WHEREAS, she is the founding member of the Raytown Arts Council, serving as its president for the past five years, as it brought an innovative series of creative arts to the community; and,

WHEREAS, additionally, Alyse serves on the Missouri Retired Teacher Association State Executive Committee, is past president of the MARTA local unit, past president of the Missouri AAUW, served on the national AAUW level as Association Leader on loan for other states' conventions and regional conferences, and is the local Raytown branch past president; and,

WHEREAS, she is a member of the Coalition of Cultural Arts of Eastern Jackson County and currently serves as choir director and organist for the Westwood Christian Church; and,
