Body
WHEREAS, the YMCA is constructing a facility at the northeast corner of Taylor and Ryan Roads in Blue Springs, MO; and,
WHEREAS, the Blue Springs/Jackson County boundary at this location extends down the center of Ryan Road; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Blue Springs and the YMCA request that the south one half of Ryan Road, known as the "Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 5, Township 49N, Range 31W, Jackson County, Missouri," be annexed into the City of Blue Springs, Missouri; and,
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate the annexation process, the City has requested the County to execute the attached Petition for Voluntary Annexation, pursuant to 71.012, RSMo 1994; and
WHEREAS, annexation of this portion of the road by the City is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Petition for Voluntary Annexation...Attorney
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon signature by the County Executive.
