Body
WHEREAS, the County Counselor recommends that he be authorized to execute a Legal Services Agreement with Anne Baggott of Denton's Law Firm to provide legal services to the County in certain new and ongoing matters; and,
WHEREAS, this Legal Services Agreement is for the furnishing of services related to employment matters, and not to exceed $50,000.00 for services to be performed in 2025; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Counselor be and hereby is authorized to execute a Legal Services Agreement with the lawyers and/or law firms identified in this Resolution, for a term ending December 31, 2025, at an aggregate cost to the County not to exceed $50,000.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payments, on the Agreement and Addendums.

Effective Date: This resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
