WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited bids, via Electronic Solicitation BB200581, for the furnishing of HVAC parts; and,
WHEREAS, he distributed a total of sixteen (16) solicitations and received two (2) responses as follows, one of which was "No Bid":
BIDDER TOTAL FOR LIST OF SAMPLE UNIT PRICES
Charles D. Jones Co., $1,644.14
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Purchasing Director recommends award to Charles D. Jones Company of Kansas City, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases remaining subject to annual appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the purchase; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payments on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations are available.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
