Body
WHEREAS, "One Way 2 Play-Drug Free" is a substance abuse prevention program sponsored by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes; and,
WHEREAS, this program will showcase athletes bringing their substance-free message to students in eight schools in Jackson County; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney recommends a Cooperative Agreement with the Coalition for the sponsorship of this program; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to enter into the attached Cooperative Agreement with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, at a cost to the County not to exceed $5,600.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
