RESOLUTION # 13315, August 14, 2000

INTRODUCED BY Bob Spence, County Legislator


Body
WHEREAS, Gary White, Raytown K-9 officer, has received his certification as a master dog trainer from the North American Police Work Dog Association; and,

WHEREAS, Officer White is one of two officers in Missouri who have received this prestigious honor and one of 33 nationwide; and,

WHEREAS, in order to obtain this certification, Officer White was required to pass written and oral tests, work with dogs for three years to be certified as a trainer, and work three additional years to qualify for the master trainer tests; and,

WHEREAS, Officer White has been handling police dogs approximately nine years and was the individual who trained Kilo, the canine purchased by the County for the Jackson County Drug Task Force in its fight against drugs; and,

WHEREAS, Officer White and his wife Brenda, have one daughter, Becky; and,

WHEREAS, sincere congratulations goes out to Officer White for his diligent work in training these dogs; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Officer Gary White upon his certification as master dog trainer.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
