Body

WHEREAS, the County, through its Prosecuting Attorney, and the City of Blue Springs, Missouri, 
previously entered into a contract authorized by Ordinance 2393, relating to the County's providing 
the City's local match to a grant from the Missouri Department of Public Safety to fund the City's 
Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) and related programs, and the Choices 
Cooperative/Campus Law Enforcement Education Officer program; and,

WHEREAS, the parties are mutually desirous of amending the original agreement, at an increased 
cost to the County; now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following 
appropriation be made from the unappropriated surplus of the 1995 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund:
