AN ORDINANCE appropriating $23,341.00 from the undesignated fund balance of the 2016 General Fund and $56,565.00 from the undesignated fund balance of the 2016 Special Road and Bridge Fund for additional work and upgrades within the renovated Eastern Jackson County Courthouse.

Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4680, dated October 20, 2014, the Legislature did award a contract for the Eastern Jackson County Courthouse Renovation Project, No. 3164; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 18957, dated October 5, 2015, the Legislature authorized improvements to the existing elevator located at the Eastern Jackson County Courthouse (EJCC) using existing term and supply contracts; and,
WHEREAS, upon further evaluation it was determined that it is more economical to replace the elevator rather than make these improvements; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 19160, dated May 23, 2016, the Legislature authorized funds for the elevator replacement project; and,
WHEREAS, the purchase order that encumbered funds pursuant to Resolution 18957 has been canceled, thus making these funds available for additional improvements to the EJCC facility; and,
WHEREAS, an reappropriation is necessary to place these funds in the proper spending accounts to complete these project using current term and supply contracts; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the undesignated fund balance of the 2016 General Fund and from the 2016 Special Road and Bridge Fund be and hereby are made:
